Lecture capture
A new experience for our students is here
For semester 1, we have moved to a new product for lecture capture that will offer an enhanced experience for students. EchoSystem offers the following features:
- New recording options
- Higher definition captures (i.e. easier to read)
- A wider range of playback media formats and bandwidth options (i.e. more flexible for students)
- User configurable playback interface (i.e. more customisable by students)
- Automatic thumb-nail generation based on scene/slide changes
- Accessibility compliance.
EchoSystem is functionally similar to the previously-used Lectopia and procedures associated with lecture capture will remain the same.
Getting started
The University of Melbourne's lecture capture and delivery system automatically captures audio and (in most theatres) the visual content from the theatre's data projector, making streamed and downloadable versions of these recordings available soon after the lecture.

Echo360 Personal Capture allows presenters to capture audio and screen material on their personal computers, rather than solely in a teaching space. Presenters can capture, edit, save and upload the presentations created on their personal computers to their lecture capture enabled subject for online student access.
