Access arrangements

A security swipe card is needed to enter all eLearning studios.

Presenters need a "LEC" key to access cupboards/lecterns containing installed multimedia equipment.

If you need a new "LEC" key, please contact your departmental administration support.

Future plans

The capacity of these rooms currently ranges from 25 to 40 students. We intend to create new eLearning studios with capacity for up to 70 students.

During 2008, subject to funding, we plan to enable all computers for desktop video-conferencing and to explore the feasibility of equipping all studios with at least one printer.

We plan to implement easy-to-use control systems in those spaces currently without this functionality. Our service goal is to make it easier for academics and students to use the multimedia equipment for their teaching and learning. These systems will be either touch panel or push button. We will complete this project during winter recess 2008.
